Assistance Request: Available Licensed Operators
There may be some Rural Water and/or Wastewater Systems, that due to an outbreak of COVID-19 will require operational assistance. The Ohio Rural Water Association is compiling a pool of certified water and wastewater operators who might be available to provide emergency on-site assistance to other Rural Water and/or Wastewater Systems.
The actual details and arrangements would be arranged between the requesting and responding utilities. Our goal is to determine if there are available operators willing to assist if necessary and connect those individuals with nearby communities in an emergency.
This is purely a request, so even if you sign up today, you can still decline without issue if you are called upon.
We have made available an Informal Mutual Aid Agreement template for utilities that want to connect with their neighbors without any strings attached, but we also strongly encourage all utilities to become familiar with and sign up to the OHWARN Mutual Aid Agreement.
Water systems and the responding operator should be prepared to keep detailed records of their response for reimbursement should it become available through the requesting system or other available funding.
If you are an operator, or you know a licensed operator that is available to be listed for possible response, please fill out the form below.
Again, even if you provide your information, you are not committing to respond, but we would strongly encourage you to consider it.
