Call for Discussion Leaders: Community Connections Member Forums
The Ohio Rural Water Association (ORWA) is thrilled to announce our Community Connections Member Forums, taking place during the 2025 Annual Training Conference on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Embassy Suites in Dublin, Ohio.
We are seeking passionate and knowledgeable members to speak and lead discussions in these dynamic forums. These sessions provide attendees with a unique opportunity to network, share experiences, and exchange insights in an informal and collaborative setting.
These discussions will be held after our general presentation sessions on Wednesday. The Community Connections Members Forums are a separate event from our general presentations.
Why Speak?:
Help strengthen connections within the ORWA community.
Inspire collaboration and collective problem-solving.
Empower fellow members by sharing your experiences.
Help build a stronger, more unified water and wastewater network.
Forum Format:
Each forum will have two discussion leaders.
Sessions will last two hours and will run concurrently in designated time slots.
These forums do not follow a traditional presentation format. They are more informal and focused on discussion and Q@A.
Three Specialized Forums: We're seeking speakers for three separate sessions, each designed to foster discussion and collaboration within specific focus areas.
Managers Forum: Share leadership strategies, operational insights, and management solutions.
Customer Service Forum: Discuss customer engagement tactics, service improvements, and communication best practices.
Board Members Forum: Explore governance, strategic planning, financial planning, and board leadership in the rural water industry.
Speaker Requirements:
Must be a member of Ohio Rural Water Association under a System Membership, Associate Membership or Individual Membership.
Must be able to lead a discussion and provide interesting topics as a conversation starter.
Must be well versed in the topic they wish to bring to discussion.
