Village of Butler
I just wanted you to know how much we at the Village of Butler appreciate the services that you have provided to our community over the years. We have had water loss issues for years, due to our sandstone subsurface many of our leaks do not show up so it is really difficult to locate. Recently one of your Circuit Riders was able to sound a leak for us, that did not surface. Upon excavation we discovered a joint leak that was escaping into 4” drain line that terminated below water level in a nearby creek. This is an 85 year old 4” main at 75psi. Once repaired we reduced our pump flows by nearly 100,000 gpd.

We would like to thank the Ohio Rural Water Association for all the help with our WPA line and other Village projects. Your assistance over the years has been helpful in resolving problems and saving the Village money. We greatly appreciate the cost savings and recommend the Ohio Rural Water Association to others. Village of Baltic
The ORWA assisted the Village of Baltic in smoke testing our sanitary sewer system with equipment and experience, and we are very appreciative. Your Wastewater Technician led the project which turned out to be very successful. He informed the volunteers on what to look for and document, and answered all questions and challenges. He worked well with our new employee, and was very encouraging.
With our little village of 800 people and 369 water/sewer hookups, we simply have no monies to accomplish many of the unfunded mandates. We do suffer continually at the WWTP with increased I&I during rains. Now a number of defects were identified during the smoke testing.
Our Board of Public Affairs conveys sincere thanks to your Association for the tremendous impact you provided with the smoke testing, and ultimately the long term improvements to our collection system.
